We believe in aging in place, meaning you can remain in your apartment and receive services. However, if memory care services are needed, that would require a move within our facility.

The independent and assisted living apartments are not separate, allowing residents to stay in their apartments even if they need additional care services in the future.

Absolutely! Our residents can have overnight guests if they live in a one or two-bedroom apartment.

Of course! We only ask that you inform us when you will be away from the community.

We will work with you and the County to obtain funding through the Elderly Waiver Program, which assists in covering expenses for residents to reside in a community such as The Cedars of Austin. For additional information, please reach out to Melissa Block at 507-355-7105.

Our residents have the right to choose from any provider, including outside providers, that can deliver the services they need.

We offer services tailored to your needs and individual preferences. Sleep as late, or get up as early as you like!

Our aides and nursing staff can provide nail care, but we also offer podiatry services that come into our community.

The Culinary Department will save a meal for you to pick up when you return, or you may take advantage of our All-Day Dining, serving soup and sandwiches.

Yes! The Cedars bus will take residents to medical appointments in Austin on Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Cedars Van will take residents to and from local churches on Sunday. Our bus also has scheduled days for shopping, restaurants, and outings. As an additional option, the City SMART bus conveniently picks up residents at the front door every hour M-F from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Our Activities Department dedicates itself to creating an engaging program with a diverse range of daily events within our premises and beyond. Some popular activities include exercise classes with a professional instructor (twice a week), movies and documentaries in our in-house theater, cooking classes, Bingo, trivia, arts and crafts, coffee hour, and happy hour.
